"You think a Russian gangster is scared of a judge?"

Tattooed muscleman Valentine is the mob's brain and muscle. He laughs at his court dates, and he's definitely not scared of the scrawny federal judge trying to lecture him. He'll skate on the charges. His body and his cash get him what he needs -- without worrying about love.

"I'm a forty-year-old virgin, and I can't stop thinking about that gangster in my courtroom."

Nerdy judge Peter knows not to get involved with the accused. But Valentine is irresistible.

A mild-mannered judge isn't supposed to obsess over a muscular, tattooed Russian gangster.

And a man famous for avoiding relationships and avoiding the law isn't supposed to get googly-eyed over a nerd in a black robe.

Judging Valentine is a hot Miami jock-nerd gay romance with a feel-good HEA.

Judging Valentine Collins Avenue Confidential Book 5 edition by Steve Milton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Okey i almost stopped reading at chapter 2, i skipped paragraphs with all the jargon that was too technical and hard to understand for me personally. Glad i stuck with it, by the end of chapter 5 I couldn't put it down. I was happy to see they got together and had a HEA. I received this as an arc but am voluntarily leaving this review.
I received a copy in exchange for a review.
I thought this book started a little slow but ended strong. Judge Peter Hobbs has lived a loner life and becomes a bit infatuated with one of his defendents, Russian mafia linked tattooed hottie Valentine. After Val is acquitted, Peter contacts our favorite matchmaker Alissa to try to set up a meeting between him and Val.
These two are an unlikely pair but really hit it off and see the real person in each other. Steamy and an HEA!
Val (short for Valentine) and Peter make an unlikely pair...but it works! An ex-gangster and a judge "find" each other and clumsily get together. It's not your average [gay] romance, but so much better. They're both very likable and enjoyable and the story was great; I laughed and worried at times, but it all came together well. My only "problem" was with the long paragraph length sentences, but that was overcome by the fun story. I was gifted this book in return for an honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book....... This was an enthralling story of, opposites attract. Peter is a virgin judge, who develops feelings for Val, a guy who works for the Russian mafia. Val is acquitted and decides to turn over a new leaf. After the two of them meet they are swamped by reporters while in a restaurant and the judge ends up having to do a bit of damage control to save his job. I believe that Peter entered Val's life at exactly the right time because in the past (and not far in the past) Val didn't believe in love or relationships or even pleasing a partner. It did take them awhile to meet, but once they did it was hot. This was an enjoyable read, and I was able to finish the story with a smile on my face. I love this series, and I also love Alissa because she's a wonderful friend to the men she works with, and with her help any relationship is possible. )
In it's most basic form there are two vulnerable human beings searching for love and acceptance. Stations in life are irrelevant. Peter and Val acted like verbal virgins with their disjointed utterances and misspeaks when they were having sex for the first time. I had some good laughs there. I like how Peter finally decides that their love is too important to disregard and comes full out. Once again Alissa is a life saver, but in a different way than usual. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review. This was a story of the forty year old virgin good guy falling for the reformed gangster. It was actually pretty cute even if a bit unrealistic at times. But it is fiction. It also seemed kind of short and not as detailed as some of Mr. Milton's other books. Needed some more proofreading as well. Found numerous errors that were distracting or actually made sentences completely unintelligible. Over all, worth the read.
Val is a Russian Mafia genius. Peter is a Federal Judge. Two men from two different worlds. Val is openly gay. Peter is so far in the closet that he can’t find the door to get out.
Peter finds himself attracted to Val during a case that he is presiding over. Will Peter be able to come out of his shell long enough to catch Val’s eye? Is it even ethical for Peter to do so?
Val doesn’t do relationships. To survive in the Russian Mafia you can’t appear weak, you can’t have a heart. Val has learned through the years to outwardly despise gay people for self-preservation. Can he allow himself to open his heart? Will he be able to change his reputation he’s built up over the years?
You’ll have to read Milton’s story to find out if this forbidden love will be able to be kindled let alone last.
I recommend for 18+. It is MM love story, so if that’s not your thing I recommend you skip this story.
